MARY CACCAMO, AUSTRALIA

"Louise" is a reproduction of a Jacob Petit china head dressed as a peddlar from the mid 1800's.  Her costume includes split drawers, corset, under-slip and top slip. Outer garments are an ankle length black wool skirt and cotton printed blouse. She has a red wool cape trimmed with black edging. A black straw bonnet over a white lace cap completes her costume. She carries a cane basket filled with sewing related paraphenalia.

Mechanical Tete Jumeau - Olympia

inspired by an antique. Seated at an elaborate stylized piano-harp, the doll's mechanism, when would plays music and allows her to lift each bisque hand in turn above the keyboard as her head turns from side to side.
